The Town of Little Elm offers a tax incentive to encourage homeowners to make significant investments in their properties. To qualify, your home reconstruction or remodeling project must cost at least $20,000 and be pre-approved by the town before work begins.

Key Incentive: Upon completion, you receive a one-time cash payment equal to 10 times the first-year increase in your Town of Little Elm property taxes. For example, if your town taxes go up by $400 due to the improvement, you get a $4,000 incentive.

Does Landscaping Qualify?

Landscaping is included only if it is part of the larger, qualifying $20,000+ home remodeling project.

• ✅ Landscaping IS Likely Included When: It’s part of a major project like adding a new pool and patio, building a deck with an outdoor kitchen, or renovating your home’s exterior with new sod and trees.

• ❌ Landscaping Is NOT Included When: It’s a standalone project like installing a new lawn, sprinkler system, or garden beds by itself.
