There are 3 main grass types grown in North Texas. Those 3 types are Bermuda, St. Augustine, and Zoysia.
Bermuda preforms best in full sun and well drained soil. This turf is resistant to heat, salt, and humidity. It can tolerate heavy foot traffic and recovers quickly.
St. Augustine is coarse bladed, warm-season grass that spreads by stolons. It is well-known for its blueish-green color. It can tolerate high temperatures and is very shade resistant.
Zoysia prefers sun, but can tolerate moderate levels of shade. This turf is heat and drought tolerant and requires minimal maintenance and water.
Don’t worry, it takes new sod a couple of weeks to look normal.
Make sure your sod has enough water.
Make sure you haven’t overwatered your sod.
Your soil levels (NPK) could vary from where the sod was grown.
